Edie Hats, Vancouver

May 27, 2010

So I took a little family trip up to Vancouver, Canada this past weekend to visit my sister and her husband. We did A LOT of site seeing and of course, shopping. It wasn’t until we got to Granville Island (super cute little village-y spot with a fantastic food market) that I found something special. We stumbled upon Edie Hats which is located in a small (very small) one level shopping mall called The Net Loft. The store itself has an old vintage feel but sell everything from safari hats to cowboy hats to wedding hats. They have just about every kind of hat imaginable but it was this 1920s inspired Andre hat that caught my eye. My mom and I both declared how “Changeling” it was and each got one. Mine is summery and hers is the same design but black and made out of wool for wintertime. Upon my return home I did some research on this brand and came across their site here. And although you need a password to look at their collections it’s pretty clear they have some amazing vintage inspired head wear. I’m planning on wearing mine to a wedding this summer with a new Stop Staring dress I bought 2 days ago but more on that later!

Those 2 people would be my crazy sisters!
